Adoption Process http://lifesvision.org/adoption-programs/ghana.aspx )
Age Requirements
• Both parents must be at least 25 years old and at least 21 years older than the child.

Health Issue Requirements
• Those with physical disabilities CAN adopt from Ghana as long as they can care for the child.

Available Children
• Both male and female, infants through 16 years old.
• Siblings are common.
• Children over 16 are available if younger sibling is adopted also.

Paperwork Requirements
• INS
• Home study report
• Power of Attorney letters
• Notarized

Process
• Paperwork is sent to Social Worker in Ghana.
• Social Worker prepares a report based on the homestudy and the child's history.
• Our Attorney then files the paperwork with the High Court in Ghana.
• Once approved by the Ghana courts our attorney submits the paperwork to the local BCIS office.
• Once approved by BCIS the files goes to the U.S. Consulate for the visa.

Travel Requirements
• At least one parent must travel for the visa interview.
In country stay is approximately 7 days.
